Charter Communications, Inc. (CHTR) is a prominent broadband connectivity and cable operator company valued at a market cap of $58.5 billion. Based in Stamford, Connecticut, the company offers subscription-based internet, video, and mobile and voice services, a suite of broadband connectivity services, including fixed internet, WiFi, and mobile. The telecom firm is expected to report its Q2 earnings on Friday, Jul. 25, before the market opens.

Ahead of the event, analysts expect CHTR to report a profit of $10.05 per share, up 18.4% from $8.49 per share reported in the year-ago quarter. It has exceeded analysts' earnings estimates in three of the past four quarters, while missing in only one quarter. 

For the current year, analysts expect CHTR to report EPS of $39.52, up 13% from $34.97 in fiscal 2024. 

Over the past year, CHTR shares have surged 35.3%, outperforming the S&P 500 Index’s ($SPX) 11.9% rally and the Communication Services Select Sector SPDR ETF Fund’s (XLC) 21.9% return over the same time frame.

Charter Communications saw its shares surge 11.4% on April 25 following the release of its Q1 2025 results. Although earnings per share came in below expectations at $8.42, revenue exceeded forecasts, reaching $13.7 billion. The company’s strong mobile performance stood out, with 514,000 new lines added, fueled by aggressive promotional tactics such as its “free mobile line” campaign and attractive bundled service offerings.

Moreover, analysts remain moderately optimistic about CHTR stock’s future prospects, with a "Moderate Buy" rating overall. Among 23 analysts covering the stock, opinions include 11 "Strong Buys," nine "Holds,” and three "Strong Sells." CHTR's mean price of $444.81 implies a premium of 8.9% from its prevailing price level.
